THE IMPORTANCE OF PRENATAL CAREThe value of prenatal care is beyond measure in ensuring health of both the expectant mother and her baby. Prenatal care is important because, by seeing you regularly, your health care provider has the chance to find problems early on so that they can be treated as soon as possible. In addition, other problems might also be prevented by these regular examinations. Many studies have shown that early and regular prenatal care is important for the health of both mother and their babies. Your prenatal care clinician can help you reduce the risk of having a low-birth-weight baby by as much as 300 percent.
